Visit the depot and learn about Royal’s experiences with the Rough Riders, including the major Spanish-American War battle of San Juan Hill. Meet some of his friends, early leaders in Tucumcari, including a New Mexico Governor. See some of his ground-breaking archaeology discoveries in the wilds of eastern New Mexico. As the railroad expanded across New Mexico, take note of Royal’s important contributions.
